How to have a lucid dream
What are Lucid Dreams?
Lucid Dreaming is dreaming while you know that you are dreaming, and when you know you are dreaming in a dream, you can also change the course of a dream, with practice you can also develop full control of your dreams. You will be able to create something the mind can imagine, changes in the environment even change your appearance, have a conversation with Abraham Lincoln or fly to the Grand Canyon.
The earliest recorded lucid dreams date back to the fifth century, the file came from a letter Written by St. Augustine in 415 AD Another well known example recorded lucid dream from eight century Tibetan Buddhists in the Tibetan Book of the Dead. The Buddhists wrote of a form of yoga designed to maintain full waking consciousness while in the dream state. This documentation is old dreams said that the advanced knowledge we have today.
People have had lucid dreams for as long as the human mind has always dreamed of. The first known use of the term even dream "lucid" was by Frederik van Eeden in his book "A Study of Dreams" which was published in the Proceedings of the Society for Psychical Research in 1913. (Van Eeden also wrote the novel The Bride of Dreams). Since then, the term has become a part of our ordinary.
Steps to Lucid Dreaming
"I do not dream," have you ever heard someone say this, or did you even said yourself? This is not a true statement, everyone dreams at night, but some people do not remember their dreams. The first step in learning to have lucid dreams, intuition, as in my article, is the desire to want to remember your dreams. Now before go to bed, have a clear mind, you say "I remember my dream when I wake up." It is a proven way effective way to help dream recall. Having a cluttered mind or worry can distract you from remembering your dreams in the morning.
Having a schedule regular sleep, try to get a routine going with a consistent bedtime and waking time, it will also help you remember your dream. Avoid alcohol or take drugs before going to bed. These things can prevent you from remembering your dream. Nutrition plays an important role in dream recall, fatty foods or just eating right before going to bed will be easier for your body to digest food instead of getting the rest of your body needs and will divert bodily resources of your brain.
The most important step is remembering your dreams keep a dream journal. Keep a pencil and a notebook or tape recorder beside your bed so that it is handy when you awake. You want to make the task of recording your dreams as easy as possible. Having a small lamp near your bed will help you if you wake up a dream in the middle of the night and need to save it.
Do not get out of bed immediately when you wake up, was there in your bed, keeping eyes closed and move as little as possible. Wake up slowly and stay relaxed, keep the good feelings you have and let your mind wander to the images that you only dreamed, write as many details as possible about your dream, do not judge the content, just save it, then later, you can go back and evaluate where you are more aware. Talking to people in your dreams to your friends or participate in certain forums Online help also remembering dreams.
How to have a lucid dream
Once you get your dream journal in progress and are able to remember at least two dreams a night, so you can begin the steps to have a lucid dream. There are several ways to get the key that you dream but I'll discuss a couple of the easiest for beginners. First there is the reality testing (RT). How test Reality is that which makes you wonder "Am I dreaming?" Noting that in a dream is not always the best thing to do, but it is usually quite obvious if you're dreaming or not. If you are in an unfamiliar place, or do something or see something that probably will not happen in reality, you know you are dreaming. Now, if you're in your bed or in your own home, then you can try looking something like a clock or reading a book or something, look away then look back and see if the weather is the same word or words you are reading are the same. Try change the color of something just by thinking. Ask yourself this question: "Am I dreaming?" Several times during the day, then you will be better able to ask this in a dream.
The second way to realize your dream in a dream, is to recognize a Dreamsign. When you recognize dreamsign what you realize you are dreaming. (Ie, a pink elephant, meet people died, or magic of flight.) Holding a dream journal come back and find things that are common in your dreams, you can choose a dreamsign that is unique to you. So when you see your dreamsign you realize Your experience as a dream, and can then further experiments or work would be in your dream.
Becoming Lucid
The biggest problem to be lucid for beginners, is that once they realize their dreams, they are so excited that the wake of their dreams. In fact, experience lucid dreamers can have this problem too. There are different ways to extend your dreams if your dream is showing signs of ending some people have claimed success of the spinning to help the dream of return, in other words to their departure dream home to turn like a skater on ice, and remember the next scene will be a dream, make sure you are always dreaming to RT. Sometimes just running or jumping can prolong your dream. Once you become proficient in achieving a lucid dream state, and are able to maintain this state of a certain extent, the next step will be controlling your dreams.
Controlling your dreams
Now the fun part! Once you are lucid dreaming world is yours, everything you can imagine can happen in your dreams. Have you ever wanted to be a great hero? Being able to become invisible, living like a millionaire to sail around the world. The only thing that I personally have had experience with the beats in my dream, the first time you do flying in your dream, you have the most amazing sense of freedom you have never experienced. Think about it if you could fly like a bird, the wind in your hair, the freedom to go anywhere, and you get the picture. People have used the experiences in their lucid dreams to enhance their waking life also, for example, play the piano better, improving the skate, or business success Some people even claim to have religious experiences.
Science has only begun to examine the process of lucid dreaming. Some researchers see it as an evolutionary development of humanity and consciousness expanding. Whether we live or have always had this ability, we are certainly not taking advantage of everything it has to offer. If we could be more disciplined in our dream job, we would have many more options for learning and grow
